Your Carrier Configuration defines what services and service options are available to your Customers when they interact with your organization through Carrier Link — whether in their dashboard or via API.

Services

Services are the baseline for any carrier — how fast should the shipment get there? Which countries are supported as a destination or as an origin?

At a minimum, you must have at least one service added and your own customized name assigned to it. This is the service name that your customers will see when they start shipping or interacting with your carrier through Carrier Link. We will turn this name into a ‘slug’ that your customers can use.

A service’s slug is the value they will use when uploading shipments or running API requests and where they have to specify the service to use. You can update your service name at any time thanks to Carrier Link’s backwards-compatible slug algorithm.

Service Options

After enabling at least one Service, per the above instructions, you will see the Service Options that you can enable for your customers.

Insurance

Insurance (also called Shipping Protection) is an optional service that can be enabled on a per-shipment basis by your customer in the Carrier Link API and in their customer dashboard, and is offered by BoxC. Learn more about BoxC’s insurance here →
